Electric Ukulele
How would I change an electric mandolin to an electric ukulele?
I want to take a Kentucky 300e Electric Mandolin and switch the strings around so that they match that of a tenor Ukulele. Like it’d be the second highest string, then the lowest, middle, then highest. Then I would tune it to Ukulele tuning to make it an electric uke. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, but I wanted to get a second opinion before I purchased one. Can anyone think of why this wouldn’t work? Thanks!

You can do it b/c I’ve done it. I call it a Mandolele. Other’s have done it also.
First, measure from the nut to the bridge. My Mandolele measures the same size as a soprano ukulele. You don’t want to put tenor strings if it measures soprano or concert size.
